Global FAQ
Nerivio is intended for acute and/or preventive treatment of migraine in patients 12 years or older. It is a self-administered, prescription-use device for use at home either at the onset of a migraine for acute treatment or every other day for preventive treatment. It should not be used by people with uncontrolled epilepsy, active implantable devices, or proximity to cancerous lesions.
Nerivio can be used at any time, but it is most effective when used early, within 60 minutes of migraine onset. It can also be used for additional treatments if the headache is not relieved or if it reoccurs.
Nerivio can be used on either arm, regardless of the side of the headache.
You can order a new Nerivio or refill your device by contacting Nerivio support in your region. Find contact information here.
Nerivio is used for both acute and preventative treatments: Acute Treatment: At the onset of a migraine, 45-minute treatment. Preventative Treatment: Every other day, 45-minute treatment. Combining both: Use Nerivio every other day for prevention and as needed for acute treatment. If a migraine attack happens on a non-preventative treatment day, perform acute treatment.

Ensure the protective film is removed from electrodes, the device is connected to the app, and treatment has started. Increase the intensity if needed. If still no sensation, rub water on the electrodes to improve adhesion. Replace the device if the electrode surface is damaged.
Nerivio can be used for 18 treatments (45 minutes each). After 18 treatments, dispose of the device according to instructions. You can contact Nerivio support for recycling details here.
